A Home For All Swim Peeps

A few words from moi about how we got here & where we are going...

If you are reading this it means I have (successfully?) pulled the trigger on a rebrand I've been working on for some time.

"Rebrand" feels kinda dramatic in truth, as all I've really done is come up with a new name that better represents our core reason for being.

Le Watermelon is still legendary for me, but what was originally conceived as an Aussie-surfwear-meets-Britain concept has turned into something wonderfully different.

When I started swimming with a few friends towards the end of last year the idea was simple — we'd go for a swim then hunker down in a local cafe for coffee, pastries & chit chats. As our social swim club started to grow (and quickly) two things really stood out to me.

First was just how naturally aligned everyone who came along seemed to be. In fact, one thing I have loved most is just how quickly peeps get the chatty & welcoming vibe at our social swims.

Second was the ease with which genuine connections were being made between people who, more often than not, were meeting for the first time. It felt like we were bringing together friends who hadn't met each other yet — and I can't lie that gave me a real kick.

I've called it SWIM PEEPS because it's all about the peeps. This is about real connection — something that sadly in today's world feels like an increasingly scarce commodity.

We are a home for all SWIM PEEPS. If you like swimming + making new friends, that means you.
